Village Hidden in the Leaves - Land of Fire
On a mountain overlooking the villages from the north exists the Hokage Monument.Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been relatively peaceful since the end of the Third Great Shinobi World War, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence, and has great military power and influence.

Village Hidden in the Mist - Land of Water
An unusually high number of missing-nin seem to originate from this village. Kirigakure is composed of several cylindrical buildings, with the Mizukage's palace being the widest and the largest. Like its name, the village is surrounded by a thick mist, with several mountains in the background, making it difficult to find by foreigners.

The ninja from this village seem to specialize in Wind Release techniques and the Puppet Technique. Shinobi from Sunagakure believe that the accomplishment of a mission predominates the lives of the ninja trying to accomplish it.

Village Hidden in the Clouds - Land of Lightning
Use of lightning release techniques and swords seem to be common of ninja from this village. The village is located in a range of tall mountains, and is literally hidden in the clouds. The Raikage lives in a large structure built into the tallest mountain.

Village Hidden in the Rocks - Land of Earth
Iwagakure is well-known for the rock-hard attitude of its shinobi; as soon as the Tsuchikage gives an order, the Iwa-nin do so without hesitating, even if it means death. Iwagakure ninja seem to specialize in earth release techniques.

| Tetsu no Kuni
The Land of Iron is an icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja.

Village Hidden in the Rain
A small yet highly industrialized hidden village located in an unnamed country. A number of smaller villages surround Amegakure. As its name suggests, it rains almost constantly. Many shinobi from this village seem to wear a kind of mask that allows them to breathe underwater. Amegakure was once led by the legendary ninja, Hanzo.
