=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
"Gather around folks, gather around!" Tetsuya yelled out loud, trying to gather as many people as possible.
The marketplace was bustling with civilians and off-duty shinobi alike. It was the weekend hence the crowded roads and abundance of people. Off to the side of the main road, Tetsuya stood on a small wooden crate, trying to attract people over to him. In front of him was a small table, the surface big enough to do most of his tricks.
There were a couple of kids that came up to him, but Tetsuya wanted more people to attract. If he wanted more people over here, he would have to get their attention. Reaching into one of his pockets, he pulled out a deck of cards and started to shuffle one handed. The kids seemed to enjoy it as they let out a sigh of astonishment. Tetsuya then started to shuffle them in the air, the cards looking like they were defying gravity as Tetsuya skillfully moved them through the air. More people started to take notice and a crowd started to form.
"Thank you all for giving me a moment of your time! My name is Kajihara Tetsuya and it is my job to amaze you!" He exclaimed before catching all the cards and then bowing to them. A polite applause broke out as Tetsuya straightened his back.

Kame was out for the day to practice her skills. She had been working hard to understand how she couldn't get her genjutsu to work. She had been trying for so long to make it work but every time she tried to use it on a person it was weak and easy to disperse. She was trying to see what she was missing but after a few hours she decided to give up without really learning much of anything. She was hungry and exhausted anyways.
She decided to get some ramen from in town. It was the weekend and it was really busy so she had to wait to get food. Kame wasn't really the most patient person in the world so she was looking around at the other shoppers and fidgeting the whole time. She saw a group of children around Tetsuya and wondered what he was doing. It looked interesting enough but she was really too hungry to get out of the line for food.
Finally it was her time to order. By the time she got her food there was a much bigger crowd around Tetsuya. She was curious about what he was doing and really wanted to go check it out. She slurped up her ramen as quickly as possible and ran over to the crowd just as Tetsuya was bowing. She saw the cards in his hand and realized, 'He's doing magic tricks! And I missed everything all because I wanted to eat instead!' Kame felt bad about it and was disappointed in herself. She missed out on something awesome just because she was too impatient.

Bored and anxious for the start of missions, Hiro leisurely strolled through the village proper to get his mind off it all. It was only a matter of time until the next mission, but until then he simply had to wait. It was a bit annoying; he wanted to do more for the village! Alas, he was stuck here, walking through the village proper, eating an apple. He took a bite from the apple as the wind gently blew by him, ruffling his clothes and hair slightly. A chill ran down his spine, but then the wind died down and the sun's rays went back to their usual level of effectiveness.
He watched the children amassing around Tetsuya, he didn't know him too well, but he did think he was a bit of a show off; this didn't help those matters. It made sense though, his schtick was this magic stuff, so practice was probably useful in this kind of venue. Still, he couldn't help but admit he was curious about what all was going down. He crowded in among other people trying his best to blend into the crowd. He looked at the boy as he began the show. Alright, the shuffling cards was pretty impressive, he'd have to admit that. He still wondered how all of this could be applied to combat, he was never good with genjustsu, and really all this was just simplistic genjutsu. He guessed he'd probably never understand.
Hiro noticed Kame joining the crowd. a goofy grin escaped onto his face for a moment as he basked in her sight. After allowing himself the moment he slowly made his way through the quickly expanding crowd; okay another point to you Tetsuya Hiro thought as he watched the crowd grow rapidly. The guy could draw a crowd, apparently. Finally after a couple moments; while Tetsuya officially introduced himself he made it to beside Kame.
He whispered to her, tapping her on the shoulder, "This looks like it'll be good. I always wanted to see Tetsuya do some of his magic tricks. Good thing we both got here before things got underway." he said quietly, trying not to disturb the people around him. The children were all acting rambunctious; yelling this or that, requesting various things of the young performer. "Come on, let's get a closer look?" He offered to Kame as he extended his hand to her.

"Alright! Now that I have your attention, I am going to be demonstrating a couple of tricks and illusions for everyone! I ask any shinobi in the ground to not give away any of my secrets that they may spot, if they see any!"
Tetsuya then took out a brand new deck of cards, plastic wrapping and all. "As you can see, this is a new deck of cards, never been opened with the seal still on it,"
"For my first trick, I will be demonstrating one of my more basic acts in my arsenal" He then spread the cards out in his hand, each tip of each card available for everyone to see. He then shuffled them rapidly and then held them out to the kids in front of him, facing downwards.
"Please pick one card and do not look at it," Tetsuya asked a young girl. She carefully pulled out a card from his hand and Tetsuya immediately pushed the remainder together to form a tight stack. "I want you to show everyone what the card is while I turn around so you can show them without me seeing,"
As the girl turned around to show the crowd her six of diamonds, Tetsuya turned around as well, his fingers moving quickly. Once the girl said okay, Tetsuya turned around once again, holding the tight stack of cards outwards.
"Now please slide your card into the deck," Tetsuya asked, as she pushed the card back into the deck.
"Alright, now I'm going to pass the deck behind my back quickly," he explained, moving it behind him. "And back to the front and your card should be the only one facing the opposite direction of all the other cards."
Tetsuya fanned out the cards above his head and sure enough, the six of diamonds was the only card opposite. A loud chrous of "ohhhs" and "ahhhs" erupted from the crowd, followed by clamping. The caped illusionist bowed to them.
"Now for my next trick, I will need some volunteers!" He said, scanning the crowd.

Well she hadn't missed the whole show, just the beginning of it. "This looks like it'll be good. I always wanted to see Tetsuya do some of his magic tricks. Good thing we both got here before things got underway." Hiro appeared beside her. She hadn't noticed him in the crowd before but he found her. He extended his hand to her and asked if she wanted to get a better look. She took his hand and let him pull her closer to the front of the growing crowd.
They made it to the front of the crowd by the time Tetsuya showed the six of diamonds as the chosen card. Kame was amazed and wished she had seen the beginning of the trick better to see how he actually did it. Her eyes could usually catch that kind of thing. It was time for a new trick though, so maybe this time she'd figure it out.
"Now for my next trick, I will need some volunteers!" Tetsuya called out.
Kame held up her hand and stood on her tiptoes. She always wanted to do magic tricks but she could never actually get them to work. She also wasn't very good at shuffling cards so it wouldn't have looked as neat and fancy as Tetsuya.
"Pick me Tetsuya!" Kame called over the crowd.

"Let's see.." Tetsuya said to himself as he scanned the crowd. He saw a lot of unfamiliar faces and a couple of ones he recognised. Up near the front he spotted Kame waving for him to pick her. A grin appeared on his face as the opportunity to amaze one of his classmates presented itself.
"Kame-san, I choose you!" He said holding out his hand and leading her to stand next to him.
"Folks, this is Tsuki Kame, a genin from my graduating class! Please give her a round of applause!" Another polite applause erupted as Tetsuya pulled out another deck of cards from his pockets.
"Now, normally illusionist will never pick someone they are acquainted to as an assistant as many people will claim it was a plant. For this next trick, I will show you that even if there was a plant, an illusionist can still do the impossible!"
"As you can see, I hold in my hand another new deck of cards. Plastic still wrapped around it and the seal is in place and has never been broken," Tetsuya said, holding the case up to show everyone. "I'm going to break open this new deck and pull the cards out. Keep in mind, these cards have never been touched by human hands before." He explained while pulling off the wrapper and breaking the seal.
"Now, there are usually two premium cards on the top of the deck along with two jokers on the opposite end. We won't be needing the premium cards and one of the jokers so we will be getting rid out those," He then took the cards and placed them inside his pocket.
"Now Kame, please hold out your hands, cupped," He asked, placing the cards in her hands. "Please fan them out so that the crowd can see what new deck order looks like," Kame then held them out to them for the crowd to see.
"Now it runs from Ace to King and in the middle, these two kings are touching, we call this kissing kings. Most illusionist say that a good shuffle of cards requires around fifteen but for times sake, go ahead and shuffle those cards about seven times please."
Tetsuya watched as Kame shuffled the deck multiple times, making sure that she was getting them seperated from new deck order.
"Okay now hand me the deck," He asked, holding out his hand. Once the cards were placed on his hand, he then held them back out to her. "Please tap the top of the deck and then pull out a card from the deck and show everyone and myself what it is. "
"Now please take this marker and write anything you want on it, just not your name," Tetsuya asked, handing her the marker.

Kame took her place on the stage and waved at the crowd as she got introduced. She watched Tetsuya take out a deck of cards and put the ones he didn't need in his pocket. He handed her the cards and asked her to show the cards to the crowd so they could see the order. She did so. He asked her to shuffle the cards about 7 times. Kame looked down at the cards and slowly shuffled them. A couple of times she thought she was going to drop them but she held on to all the cards and finally got them shuffled. She handed the deck back to Tetsuya and he told her to tap the top of the deck and pull a card from the deck and show everyone what it was. She did so and pulled out a jack of clubs which she showed to everyone and Tetsuya. He told her to write something on it, anything except her name. So she took the marker from Tetsuya and drew a small star on the card.

Hiro was concentrating hard as he kept his eyes on Tetsuya, he was also kinda beaming from ear to ear. Even if it was just so they didn't lose track of each other, right now he was holding Kame's hand. They were touching. This pleased his crushing heart fully and he felt a small colony of butterflies floating within his stomach; rapidly they were seemingly flapping their multicoloured wings, leaving him feeling uneasy. Still he liked the combination of elation and uneasiness.
Why was he using his enhanced senses right now? The answer to that question is really simple. He wanted to try and see if he could see (or hear) any of the solutions to the tricks. As such, when Kame let go of his hand (which of course brought about a frown for a brief moment) he flinched from the loudness of her clamouring to be picked. She was so cute when she got all childish like this. It was one of the reasons he l-iked her. He shook his head smiling at her as Tetsuya picked her and guided her onto the stage. Inside of course, like any 12 year old with a crush (or perhaps more) he was screaming in anger. Still he was a boy of status, and he knew better to let such emotions show. If for no other reason than he fear his aunt.
Kame waved to the crowd as Tetsuya gave a typical magician spiel about the integrity of the craft. No matter how much he was feeling jealous that the boy had all of her attention right now, his appreciation for the illusions (that hiro was ever so poor at) was allowing him to enjoy the show and applaud Tetsuya's stage presence. He could even admit that the boy was good at showmanship. So he kept on smiling as everyone cheered around him.
As Kame stumbled about shuffling the deck of cards, he watched earnestly. He smiled even more as she finished and handed the deck back. Tetsuya continued playing up the crowd as Hiro watched Kame pick the card. She held it up to the crowd, The Jack of clubs Hiro thought hard as imprinted the card into his memory. Some tricks like this just made people think they saw a different card. Either way he kept his senses honed, sight smell and sound as he concentrated molding chakra in his head. He waited with bated breath, curious what would happen next. Trying so hard, not to be jealous over Kame's focus on this instead of him. At the final second, she also drew (like Tetsuya requested) a small star. He memorized its exact position, keeping an image of this card on the forefront of his mind.

"Alright, thank you Kame," He said, taking the card and marker from her hand. He quickly placed the card into the middle of the deck, while pocketing the marker. He then handed her back the deck of cards.
"Now please, hold your hand out with the deck of cards on top and now I'm going to place my right hand over the deck," He said, placing his right hand over the cards. He then took her other hand and placed it atop of his.
"And we are going to put your other hand atop of mine to seal the cards in between." Once his left hand was atop of hers, he looked at her subtly.
"You have soft hands," he whispered to her and gave her the faintest smile.
"Now, would it be impressive if I removed my right hand and pulled out your card?" Tetsuya asked, holding up the back of the card he pulled. After her confirmation, Tetsuya smiled to the crowd.
"No it wouldn't, I got a joker," he said, laughing to himself causing the crowd to laugh as well. He then put the joker into his pocket.
"Now, what if I told you," he said slowly, the crowd growing silent at his serious tone. "That I can put the deck in new deck order, your card reversed, in the box, with the seal intact, plastic wrapping and all?"
A loud chorus of whispers went through the crowd, people looking back and forth to each other, asking if he was just kidding or saying that it was impossible. Kame was gave him a baffled looked, which Tetsuya just smiled at.
"Because I did just that, take a look!" He exclaimed, removing his hand from atop hers.

Tetsuya took the marker and the card from Kame. She held out her hand with the deck of cards and he placed his hand over it and asked her to place her other hand on top of his. "You have soft hands," Tetsuya whispered.
"Thanks," Kame whispered back.
Tetsuya asked if she would be impressed if he pulled out her card and she had to admit that would impress her just like it had impressed her the time before but she had already seen pretty much the same trick so it was like a repeat. What he pulled out wasn't her card though, it was the joker. Less impressive. He put the joker in his pocket.
Then he told her that he could put the deck back in it's packaging with her card reversed on top. That would be really impressive but she didn't know how he'd manage that. And then he did it. In her hand was a new package of cards. When she opened up the deck her card was face up in the new package order. She showed it to the audience. She honestly tried to figure out how it got done but she couldn't figure it out.

Hiro was trying his darndest not to become a big giant ball of jealousy. This wasn't being made easier by all the hand touching this trick required. First the card pack is placed on the back of her hand. Then he puts his hand on top of hers. And then she puts her hand on top of his. And then he puts his hand on top of hers. As far as this 12 year old boy was concerned it just wasn't fair he got to be so close to her right now. He had to remind himself it was just all part of the trick. It made him feel like his insides were on fire- and then Tetsuya started flirting.
You have soft hands. It was faint, so Hiro knew that he chances were it was whispered very quiet so only "she" could hear it. Hiro though, being an Ookami, was a special case. The fire in his gut went not to an inferno within him, but a Sausonoo. He watched on, silently growling, his body actually trembling with contained rage as his eyes narrowed. His mind berating him, knowing this wasn't right.
The Trick was finished. And honestly that made him even angrier. He hadn't noticed a single detail at all that would even hint to its solution. Hiro was just livid, his entire body shaking with the combination of anger about not being able to figure out the trick, and also the insane amount of jealousy he was feeling over something he could honestly admit was insignificant. He shook his head, his hair whipping back and forth as he clenched his hands into tight fists. He wasn't clapping, he could barely stop himself from growling (literally).
